On October 22, 1Password announced 1Password for Agents, a platform for personal AI agents that need to sign into websites. When an agent hits a login page, it can request a credential from your 1Password vault. If you approve, 1Password fills the credentials into the destination site. The agent does not get access to the password or one-time code.
How the sign-in flow works
1Password's pitch is that pasting a password into a prompt, or taking over the session to type it yourself each time, are both poor options. With this integration, the agent asks, you review and approve in 1Password, and the fill happens on the target site. You can disconnect the integration at any time.
1Password for Agents is available at no additional cost for Individual and Family accounts on 1Password.com. Accounts on 1Password.eu or 1Password.ca are not supported yet. Availability and features vary by partner integration.
Partners rolling out and coming soon
1Password lists day-zero style partners with integrations rolling out over the coming days: Meta's Muse and SpaceXSI Grok Bot. For Muse background, see our Meta Muse Spark open weights note.
Coming soon, per 1Password: Anthropic's Claude Duet, OpenAI ChatGPT Work and dots, and Townie. Additional integrations with Instinct, Browserbase, Browser Use, Dana, KERNEL, Perplexity, Ramp, Tomo, and Wajo are also listed as coming soon. That is 1Password's partner list; it does not mean those products already ship the flow.

We have not tested 1Password for Agents.
