A screenshot shared on social media shows that Claude's language selection window now lists two Chinese options: 中文(简体) and 中文(繁體). The currently selected default language shown in the screenshot is English (United States).
For users who prefer to interact with the interface in Chinese, this means they may soon be able to switch directly to a Chinese interface from the settings menu, instead of relying on English or third-party translation tools.
The language picker includes a search bar at the top, alongside options for languages such as Amharic, Bangla, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, and Japanese. The bottom of the screenshot is cropped, so the full language list cannot be read.
The shared screenshot does not specify which Claude model version this change applies to, when it rolled out, or whether it is available to all users or only a limited test group. Final availability and details should be confirmed via official Anthropic announcements.
