Cursor has added Remote Control to its iOS app, so you can now check on the agents running on your own computer and reply to them from your phone. Cursor announced it in its changelog on October 6. The agents don't move anywhere: they keep running on your machine and the app simply connects to them, which means your computer has to stay on and online the whole time.
Remote Control is switched on by default for everyone except Enterprise organizations, and setup is short. Once you sign in to the Cursor iOS app, the computers on your account show up on their own; you tap one and approve the pairing request in the Cursor desktop app. Your local agents then appear as a list, and opening one shows what it's doing and lets you send it a message.
The catch is that a sleeping laptop breaks the connection. Cursor's answer is a "Keep this computer awake" setting under Remote Control in the desktop app's settings, which only works when the computer is plugged in with the lid open. In practice, leaving a long task running means leaving the laptop open on the charger.
Enterprise teams have to opt in. Cursor says admins can turn Remote Control on in the organization's security and identity settings. It also doesn't need cloud agents, so you can use it purely with agents on your own machine. That sets it apart from the cloud agents Cursor already lets you manage on mobile, which Cursor describes as always-on and which each run in their own isolated virtual machine rather than on your computer.
If you're on Android, there's nothing to download yet. The changelog and Cursor's mobile page mention only the iOS app, and Cursor hasn't said whether an Android version is planned.
