Google opened Gemini 4 Argon to everyone who can pay for it on October 13. Developers get `gemini-4-argon` on the paid Gemini API in AI Studio. Google AI Ultra and Pro subscribers can use it in the Gemini app and in AI Mode in Search; Ultra also gets it in Google Antigravity. Enterprises can try it through Gemini for business, the API, and Antigravity.
The launch price is $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens, with cached input at 95% off. That intro rate ends on November 30, 2026. After that, Google says the public Argon model moves to $4 input and $20 output per million tokens.
On the docs page, Argon has a unified context window of 1,048,576 tokens for input and output together. Default synchronous max output is 65,536 tokens; with long decode it can go up to the full million. Inputs cover text, image, video, audio, and PDF. Thinking comes in low, medium, and high. Caching is implicit only — explicit caching is not supported. Computer use is listed as preview.
Google positions Argon as its flagship for hard multi-step work in coding, finance, legal, cybersecurity, and science, and says it ranks first on the Vals Index, which measures performance across finance, coding, legal and tax work. The company also opened applications for 10,000 scientists to get Antigravity's highest usage tier free for six months, subject to eligibility and capacity, and is expanding the Fairwind Program for cybersecurity defenders who need Argon without cyber guardrails.
