As of Beijing time October 23, 2026, Hi3D announced the open-source release of Hi3D 1.0. The Hugging Face listing hi3d-official/Hi3Dv1.0 and the GitHub repository hi3d-official/Hi3Dv1.0 publish the refinement model artifacts and inference code; a PR Newswire note dated October 23, 2026, 11:30 ET covers the same launch. The Python API still keeps the compatibility names `sparc3d` and `Sparc3DPipeline`.
According to the model card, Hi3D 1.0 refines a coarse mesh into higher-resolution geometry conditioned on a reference image of the same object. Training is described as about two million curated 3D assets, with progressive sparse extraction grids up to an effective 1536³. Resolution requests of 512, 1024, or 1536 run one to three passes. Output is geometry only—no textures or materials—and the first-stage coarse generator is not part of this open package; an optional demo adapter can call Hunyuan3D-2 mini, but that third-party stack stays under its own license.
The license for Hi3D-owned portions is the Hi3D Open License Agreement Version 1.0. Commercial use is allowed under that agreement. If a related product or service exceeds 200,000 monthly active users or reaches USD 1,000,000 in monthly revenue, you must apply for a separate written license. Commercial integrations must display “Powered by Hi3D 1.0” as specified. Upstream Apache-2.0 or MIT pieces in third-party portions do not make the whole package Apache. As for install cost on your GPU, whether 1536³ fits below the documented 96 GB H20 stack, and how the mesh holds up on your assets—we don’t have that information yet. If you’ve tried it, you can send feedback through the site-owner contact link in the footer. Open inference weights are not the same as a free hosted 3D API.
