Tencent Cloud lists Yuanbao Search (Tencent Yuanbao Search, product code often shown as WSA) as an AI-oriented web search API: partners send a query and get ranked results with titles, snippets, URLs, and related fields for grounding model answers. The product page and the billing overview (last updated 2026-10-09 Beijing time on the doc stamp) both price three pay-as-you-go versions at ¥14 / ¥20 / ¥26 per 1,000 calls for Speed (极速版), Standard (标准版), and Flagship (旗舰版). The billing overview states Flagship is enterprise-only. Settlement is daily for usage billing.
Prepaid Standard resource packs on the same billing page: 50,000 calls for ¥950; 1,000,000 for ¥18,500; 10,000,000 for ¥175,000—each with a one-year validity from purchase; packs stack by purchase order; failed calls are not billed. Over-pack usage falls back to pay-as-you-go.
Separately, Tencent’s developer MCP page wraps the same WSA service for IDE MCP configs. The official MCP host and path are listed on that developer page (api.wsa.cloud.tencent.com, /Mcp; POST, JSON-RPC over Streamable HTTP; protocol version noted as 2025-6-18). Auth is Authorization Bearer with a WSA API key. The listed tool is SearchPro (query required; optional site, mode, freshness, result count, industry filters). Opening the service and creating a key happen in the Yuanbao Search console; the MCP page notes activation can take a few minutes.
Free quota: the MCP page says the rules are in the console activity zone, and whatever that page shows is what counts—it does not print 2000 or 6000. The product and billing public docs do not show those numbers either. Coverage such as Yike around 2026-10-21 and Synced / Jiqizhixin-style pieces around 2026-10-22 has put new-user free calls at about 2,000 per calendar month, and an invite-code window (often cited as about 2026-10-10 through 11-30) that may raise the monthly free cap to about 6,000. Those are media figures; check the logged-in activity zone for what actually applies. For how fast the API feels, how good the results are, how smooth MCP setup is, and whether billing and free quota look right, we have not tested yet.
