According to The Information, Anthropic "is preparing to release a new model that is better in its reasoning and intuition than the Anthropic models that," at which point the public preview cuts off. The report, by Stephanie Palazzolo, appeared in The Information's AI Agenda newsletter on October 19 under the headline "Anthropic Readies Model That Reads Users' Intentions Better." The full report is behind a paywall, and the preview doesn't show which Anthropic models the new one is compared with.
The preview opens by noting that "In the last month, OpenAI, Anthropic and Google have released more than a dozen new models," and adds: "If you thought that pace was crazy, don't expect things to slow down anytime soon."
Google and OpenAI
In a post on X sharing the report, Palazzolo wrote, "Expect this month to be a busy one for new model releases." According to the post, the report covers a new Anthropic model, a new model from Google, and a potential new model from OpenAI.
The public preview doesn't say when any of the models will be released, what they will be called, or how they perform.
