On this page
ChatGPT’s personal ladder is now Free, Go, Plus, and Pro, with Pro sold as three monthly usage tiers. This guide is the November 2026 subscription map in US dollars (ex-tax unless noted): what each personal plan lists for, how Business Standard and Premium seats are priced, what Enterprise means on the Business pricing page, and how monthly API Platform credits attach to eligible Pro and Business seats. Feature cells and dollar figures follow OpenAI’s ChatGPT pricing pages, Help Center plan articles, Learn Codex/Work pricing docs, and the Business pricing page. Exact message caps follow the live Usage UI and model picker. For actual invoices or how fast a given account burns allowance, this site has not reconciled a live bill line by line. For reference only.

\*US display price on the January 16, 2026 Go announcement; Go is localized in some markets. Checkout and Multi-currency billing pages govern the number on a given account.
Help Center articles for Plus, Go, and Pro say annual billing and paying multiple months in advance are not available for those personal paid plans. Business and Enterprise are the seats that list annual options on the Business pricing page.
Free ($0). Everyday text chats with GPT-6 are listed as Unlimited\* on the comparison table. Uploads, image creation, voice, deep research, memory/context, Codex, and ChatGPT Work on desktop are mostly Limited. Response times are listed as limited on bandwidth and availability. GPT Instant total context is 27K (~12 pages of input in OpenAI’s approximation). Reasoning context on Free is listed as Varies.
Go (~$8/month US). Expanded messages with tools, more uploads/image/voice, and longer memory than Free. Everyday text chats remain Unlimited\*. The pricing cards state the plan may include ads. Help Center: ads are being tested with eligible Go users in select regions. Go does not unlock the same advanced-reasoning / early-feature stack Plus markets; model availability still follows the account’s model picker.
Plus ($20/month). Advanced reasoning with GPT-6-class options, expanded messages/uploads/image/deep research/memory, Projects, scheduled tasks, custom GPTs, expanded Codex, ChatGPT Work on desktop/web/mobile, and early feature access. Response times are listed as Fast. Plus is the usual personal step when Go’s tool limits or ad-bearing tier are not enough. API usage is not bundled into Plus and is billed separately on the API Platform.
Pro (three tiers). Pro reasoning powered by GPT-6 Astra, longer Codex and ChatGPT Work sessions, Dot, unlimited faster image creation, maximum deep research/memory/context, research previews, and—on eligible tiers—monthly API credits (see below). Response times list Ultrafast (on eligible tiers).
\*Usage must be reasonable and comply with policies (pricing-page footnote).
Choosing between Plus and Pro in depth is a separate DigIntoAI guide: ChatGPT Plus vs Pro—Price, Limits, and Who Should Upgrade (October 2026). This page stays on the full subscription ladder plus Business/Enterprise and API credits.
Pro 100 / 200 / 500 and Ultrafast
| Plan | Monthly price (USD) | Ultrafast |
|---|---|---|
| Pro 100 | $100 | Not included |
| Pro 200 | $200 | Not included |
| Pro 500 | $500 | Included (GPT-6 Astra Ultrafast / GPT-6.1 Sol Ultrafast in the model picker) |
Help Center (“About ChatGPT Pro tiers”): Pro 200 includes more usage than Pro 100; Pro 500 has the highest included usage of the three. Ultrafast is available only on Pro 500 among Pro plans. For GPT-6 Astra and GPT-6.1 Sol, Ultrafast first spends included allowance at 8× that model’s Standard rate, then purchased credits at 6× the Standard credit rate. Buying credits on Pro 100 or Pro 200 does not unlock Ultrafast at launch. Fast mode vs Standard uses included allowance at 2.5× for the same model.
Work/Codex allowance wording on Help: Pro 100 and Pro 500 now include twice their previous Work and Codex allowance; Pro 200’s lower allowance was raised to match the higher band. Exact message counts are not published as fixed public numbers—task size, model, and speed mode still dominate how far an allowance goes. Support cannot reset ChatGPT or Codex limits.
Comparison highlights from the personal pricing table
These rows are capability markers from the official personal comparison, not a full feature dump:
| Capability | Free | Go | Plus | Pro |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| GPT Instant total context | 27K | 54K | 54K | 128K |
| GPT Instant input (approx.) | ~12 pages | ~40 | ~40 | ~250 |
| GPT Reasoning total context | Varies | 256K | 256K | 400K |
| GPT Reasoning input (approx.) | Varies | ~320 pages | ~320 | ~680 |
| Codex | Limited | Limited | Yes | Expanded |
| Dots / ChatGPT Space | No | No | No | Yes |
| ChatGPT Work | Limited (desktop) | Limited (desktop) | Desktop, web, mobile | Desktop, web, mobile |
| Monthly API credits | No | No | No | Yes on Pro (amounts in next section) |
Input “pages” are OpenAI’s approximations; shared context also holds system instructions, tools, memory, and internal processing. Model names (Sol / Astra / Luna and older IDs) roll out unevenly—the in-account model picker is the source of truth, not a frozen matrix copied from one screenshot.
Codex and Work share usage on Learn’s pricing docs; plan-level Codex limit behavior is covered in How Codex Usage Limits Work on Each ChatGPT Plan (October 2026).
Monthly API credits (subscription benefit)
Eligible Pro and paid Business seats can claim free API Platform credits. This is API organization balance, not an extension of the ChatGPT or signed-in Codex usage pool. Free, Go, Plus, trials, Enterprise, Edu, and legacy Codex seats are not established eligible plans for this benefit (Help article on API credits).
| Eligible subscription | Full-period API allowance (USD) |
|---|---|
| Pro 100 | $100 / monthly billing period |
| Pro 200 | $200 / monthly billing period |
| Pro 500 | $500 / monthly billing period |
| Business Standard seat | $20 per paid Standard seat, workspace-pooled |
| Business Premium seat | $100 per paid Premium seat, workspace-pooled |
| Business workspace cap | $500 / month across Standard + Premium contributions |
Annually prepaid Business workspaces receive the year’s grant upfront, capped at $6,000 per annual cycle. Paid eligible subscription must be active about 7 days before claim; link to one owned API organization. First grant is prorated; unused credits do not roll over and expire at cycle end. Claim paths and edge cases are spelled out in Help and in ChatGPT Pro and Business Can Claim Up to $500 Monthly API Credits. Token and model list prices for API work itself live on OpenAI API Pricing (October 2026)—full rates are on that page.
Business and Enterprise
Business (openai.com/business/pricing/, teams of about 2–200):
| Seat | Annualized monthly | Monthly billing |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | $20 / seat / month | $25 / seat / month |
| Premium | $100 / seat / month | $125 / seat / month |
Premium is marketed as more usage than Standard, with no 5-hour limit. Seat types can be mixed. Included orientation: ChatGPT, Work, and Codex features; desktop/web/mobile; connectors; SAML SSO / MFA; centralized billing; usage analytics and spend controls; no training on business data by default. That list follows the Business pricing page’s admin-controls orientation.
Enterprise is custom pricing via sales. Credit-based and token-based pricing are both listed as available. Expanded controls (SCIM, EKM, residency, RBAC, Compliance API, and similar rows on the comparison) are Enterprise-oriented; OpenAI does not publish a public seat dollar figure here.
Education and nonprofit paths appear in pricing FAQs (Teachers free path for verified U.S. K–12 through June 2027; Edu; Nonprofits up to 75% off Business/Enterprise). Contact OpenAI for eligibility and exact discount figures.
After a limit is hit
Typical paths on Help and Learn: wait for the window to reset; upgrade the plan; on eligible Plus/Pro surfaces, buy usage credits for some features (Settings → Usage, or Usage & Billing in Codex)—credits do not cover every Chat model or feature. Business/Edu/Enterprise flexible-credit workspaces can buy workspace credits. Local Codex with an API key is a separate meter at API rates. Support cannot reset ChatGPT/Codex limits.
Regional notes and currency
Primary tables use USD as on Help, Learn, and US Go display. Local tax, currency, and Go localization follow chatgpt.com/pricing and Multi-currency billing at checkout; fixed yen or other local list prices are left to those pages.
This is the ChatGPT subscription map for November 2026; API model rates live on OpenAI API Pricing (November 2026). Plus-vs-Pro and Codex limit details are in the DigIntoAI guides linked above. If cards or Help text update, follow the live official pricing page and account Usage.
