At about 04:04 Beijing time on October 23, the Claude account on X said that starting next week, sessions across Claude web, desktop, and mobile apps will run in auto mode by default on Pro, Max, and Team plans. DigIntoAI has not tested this change.

Rather than asking users to approve each step, Claude said an automated check blocks risky actions, and users can switch back to manual anytime. Auto mode was already the default in Claude Code for Pro, Max, and Team users around August 2026; that background is covered on DigIntoAI in Claude Code auto-mode setup.

For related DigIntoAI notes on Claude plans and tooling, see Claude Code usage limits, Claude API pricing, and Claude Code vs Codex.

We have not tested default auto mode on Claude web, desktop, or mobile, and we have not verified which actions the automated check blocks.
