Connectors plus workflow skills
Anthropic describes a suite of connectors and workflow skills that help with research, prep, and documentation so advisors can spend more time with clients. A Claude for Financial Advisors plugin bundles skills and connectors and can be installed from the Claude plugin browser / marketplace. Anthropic recommends Enterprise for registered investment advisers because that plan includes audit logs that support recordkeeping.
Skills named in the article include, among others: Pre-meeting prep, Post-meeting notes and follow-up, Portfolio rebalance review, Compliance and AI policy, Estate and tax brief, Alternative investments brief, Advisor onboarding, and Prospect intake. Firms may adopt skills as published or adapt them to house workflows.
Partner connectors (official list, selective)
Under “Connectors to the tools advisors already use,” Anthropic names partners such as Addepar, BlackRock, CAIS, Charles Schwab, Conquest Planning, Envestnet, FactSet, FINNY, Flourish, Franklin Templeton, iCapital, Invesco, J.P. Morgan Asset Management (55ip), Jump, MSCI, Nevis, Orion, SS&C Black Diamond, Wealthbox, Wealth.com, Vanguard, and Zocks. These sit alongside existing connectors such as Microsoft 365, Salesforce, DocuSign, Box, S&P Global, and Morningstar. Partner press (for example CAIS) may confirm specific joins; partner names follow Anthropic’s published list.
The plugin’s guided setup may connect a subset during install (Anthropic names BlackRock, Charles Schwab, Addepar, Envestnet, iCapital, Orion, Wealthbox, Wealth.com, and Zocks among plugin-bundled options); advisors choose which tools to connect. Advisor approval is required
Anthropic is explicit: investment recommendations, client communications, compliance determinations, and other regulated activities remain subject to human review and approval. Claude prepares briefs, summaries, and draft analyses for advisor review, and stages administrative actions such as CRM updates or draft client communications for advisor review and approval.
The solutions FAQ states Claude does not give investment advice; advice and decisions stay with the advisor. Claude does not place trades or move money. Notes, emails, and CRM updates are drafted and held until approved. Compliance skills can pre-check client-facing language against the SEC Marketing Rule and flag items for review—that is a pre-check, not automatic approval.
