Deep Principle Opens Hydrogen-1.0 on GLM-5.3, Open Weights Still Need a Runtime

Deep Principle’s blog (2026-11-02) shipped Hydrogen-1.0: scientific post-training on GLM-5.3, open BF16/MIT weights—not a Zhipu flagship. HF main is gated=auto; ModelScope mirrors weights; NeuroSpark/Mira are separate. Cards show SGLang/quant deploys, but hubs ≠ hosted chat, and full data/recipes are not shipped. Blog scores = self-reported; we have not re-run them.

OpenAI Launches LifeVal Benchmark for Everyday Personal Tasks

On 2026-11-03 ~01:27 Asia/Shanghai (2026-11-02 17:27 UTC), OpenAI announced LifeVal—a benchmark for everyday personal-assistant tasks shaped by feedback from thousands of ChatGPT users. The blog (November 2, 2026) adds a demographically representative survey of 3,995 respondents and says the eval has been used over the past year to track and drive improvement on browser use, computer use, and connectors. Not a new model or pricing drop. We haven't re-tested the blog's example scores, and we haven't seen a full open task set.

Tibo Says Dots Will Expand to GPT-6 Astra and GPT-6.1 Terra

On 2026-11-02 (23:50 Asia/Shanghai / 15:50 UTC), Tibo (@thsottiaux; Codex & ChatGPT @OpenAI) said OpenAI is working on expanding the frontier models that power dots, including GPT-6 Astra, GPT-6.1 Terra, and more later. Terra targets speed, a personality upgrade, and broader dots reach. Follow-up: a dot will pick the best model for the task and may use different models across the work. In progress—not every dot already on Astra/Terra. We haven't tested live dots routing.

Why Durable Objects Still Run Old Code for 5 Minutes After Deploy

From 2026-10-30, Cloudflare Durable Objects use deferred code updates by default: an active object can keep running its current code for up to 300 seconds (5 minutes) while waiting to hibernate. immediate fits when a reset is better than waiting. deferred is best effort—it does not guarantee every in-flight operation finishes or that the full max_delay runs. We haven't tested every Worker/Durable Object deploy path. For reference only.
