On October 22, OpenAI said Uber is rolling out ChatGPT Work company-wide. The agent, which runs inside ChatGPT Enterprise, is expanding from an initial pilot of 1,000 employees to more than 30,000 people across Uber's global workforce. OpenAI calls this Uber's first company-wide deployment of an agentic platform built for knowledge work.

Default model and connected tools

ChatGPT Work connects to tools Uber already uses, including Google Drive, Gmail, Google Calendar, and Slack. OpenAI says workers can research, prepare meeting briefs, create presentations, analyze data, and finish workflows across those apps.

GPT-6.1 Sol will be the default capability inside ChatGPT Work, which OpenAI frames as a balance of frontier performance and cost. Uber also gets OpenAI multimodal features such as voice and image generation. For more on GPT-6.1 Sol, see our GPT-6.1 Sol Ultrafast API and Codex pricing note. Uber's developers and software engineering teams will continue using Codex for coding work.
